ever hear people say hard work pays off? let me tell my dear friends. it does not.
last year, i sat down for a very memorable talk with what i then thought was and still are my family. we discussed numerous issues including our goals for this year's competition. I aimed high, to get into the top ten. that talk was very memorable for me because it really allowed me to find my own purpose in being in my team. to strive hard together as a team and achieve the goals which we set to do that day.
that has been my motivation for training ever since. i may joke around but when it came to it i meant what i said. i was aiming for the top ten. nothing less.
but here i am less than a year later when that moment is only but less than 1 month away, and my hopes and dreams shattered. it hurts more when you've worked hard for so long just to have it disappear in your face. team players, hard workers, important. or is it?
i've nothing else to say. fml
